Your mission is too important for fundraising to hold you back.

As a Fractional Fundraiser, I bring the strategy, I do the work, and I help your organization raise more so you can focus on what matters most.

I’m so glad that you are here…

Because if you’re here, that means that you are taking the first step in finding help with your organization’s fundraising. Good for you! :)

My mission is to support you and your organization to achieve your fundraising dreams, whether you need a fundraising plan that you can carry out yourself, full implementation services, or support with a special fundraising project or initiative.

Because the work that you do is SO IMPORTANT.

So, how can I help?

My main service is Fractional Fundraising (more below), but I offer other services to help your grow your fundraising.

Traditional fundraising options aren't built for organizations like yours.

Hiring In-House

Small budget means junior staff who need managing, leaving you more stretched, not less.

vs.

Consultant

Strategy without implementation means a plan that sits on a desktop for three years and never moves your fundraising forward.

You may need a Certified Fractional Fundraiser instead.

What you may actually need is someone who can think strategically and roll up their sleeves, and that's exactly what a Fractional Fundraiser does.

I bring over 15 years of fundraising experience to your organization, starting with a clear fundraising plan tailored to where you are and where you want to go. Then I get to work: writing appeals, building relationships, managing grants, stewarding donors, and everything in between. Strategy and implementation, together.

Kyle Monczak, Executive Director, Business in the Streets

“As a client, I can't recommend Laura's services enough. I've always prided myself on BITS impact but without effectively communicating that to our supporters we were missing out on endless opportunities. In only 18 months of working together, Laura has created systems and standards that have drastically improved the relationship BITS has with our existing donor community, as well as supported us in welcoming a number of new corporate and foundation partners.”

Lisa Michaels, Executive Director & Co-Founder, Bandology

“It was an absolute pleasure to work with Laura on the creation of a new sponsorship package and all the supporting material that goes with it. While obviously very experienced and knowledgeable, she also was smart enough to listen to what we wanted and were hoping to achieve, and then custom-designed a package that best suited our organization. She was able to meet our timeline and budget, and I know we got way more than our money's worth! I would highly recommend Laura and her services, and I hope to work with her again one day.”

FAQs

  • When budgets are tight, hiring in-house often means bringing on someone junior who's still learning the ropes, which can actually create more work for you, not less. With that same budget, you get a Fractional Fundraiser with over 15 years of experience who can hit the ground running. I don't need a lot of hand-holding, which means less on your plate as an ED.

  • My Fractional Fundraiser fees are between $5,000 and $6,000 per month plus tax, on a minimum 12-month contract. I also offer project-based services for organizations that aren't quite ready for fractional support. You can find those on my services page.

  • Every organization is different, so every engagement looks a little different too. As a fundraising generalist, I can work across individual giving, major gifts, grant writing, corporate partnerships, and sponsorships. The one thing I don't take on is planning and running fundraising events, though I do support with event sponsorship.

We start with a strategic planning process to map out your fundraising priorities and a realistic work plan. From there, I implement - writing appeals, managing your donor data, submitting grants, building corporate relationships, and more. We figure out together what matters most, and then I do it.

  • No — and honestly, you should be cautious of anyone who does. Fundraising takes time and consistency, and results depend on where you're starting from and what we're working toward together. What I can promise is that I'll bring my full experience and energy to your program and be honest with you about what's working and what isn't.

  • I don't track hours, I focus on deliverables and outcomes. Fractional Fundraisers are experienced and efficient, and I take on only the number of clients I can genuinely serve well. My clients are consistently surprised by how much ground we cover together.
